I love him I really do. But after him biting my neck 4 times today, for no apparent logical reason other then for sport to watch me have a melt down. I might have to love him a little less till he cuts it out…
(if you haven’t picked up from past posts the only fear I have of birds is being bitten on my neck… It is absolutely horrifyingly scarry to me)
One of the ones in the petting area decided to jump on me and eat all my food that I had in my had and once he had ate it all he decided to freak out and run up my shoulder and bite my neck as hard as he could and not let go one of the employees had to rip him off of me. Thankfully his been was clipped otherwise I would have had a huge hole in my neck.
I don’t know if you can see it in the picture. But the bite is right on the nape of my neck…. If I wasn’t having enough neck issues already… It still hurts bad….
My baby Cyrus has learned to make kissy noises and laugh. And I have taught him hoe to hop on command
Momma and I on the swings. Some kids wanted to pet me. I was okay with it so she let them. Their scratches felt good I enjoyed it.

I admit I’m not to good at this bird owing thing yet. You can read all you want and get a feel for it but you really will have no clue what to do when you get a bird. The are living biting screaming puzzles that can’t talk to say what they want so they will just bite and scream till you figure it out…
That leads to my horror story of the day
Cyrus started getting really nippy yesterday. I thought he was just playing around thinking it was a game. So i let it go… Well today… All of today he started getting really snippy and turned into kind of an ass hat. I had no idea what was wrong. He just started squawking a lot then started to scream. And he climbed onto my shoulder and bit the tender part of my neck really badly. I who wasn’t expecting it freaked out and had a break down.

Eventually I realized he was throwing a hissyfit because he ate all the good stuff out of his food and didn’t want the rest of it and was refusing to eat any of it even though he was hungry…. I changed his food he pigged out and then went back to being a darling.
If only birds could tell us what they wanted…. We could be saved so much pain and confusion…
So Milo has his own section of my bedroom that probably takes up a whole 1/8th of the room, but even though he has tons of awesome toys and stuff that other birds can only dream of, he’s just like “thanks but no thanks, I’ll just stick to perching on my cage door and ignoring all of the awesome stuff you buy me.”
My bird… Exact same way.
